Aztec Bonus Pot Plot

Aztec Bonus Pot Plot

In Aztec temples, mountains of gold were stored and left for the gods. The shrine of Patzalcouatl is also filled with treasures that you can take for yourself!

Long Live the New Cult!

For many years, Vicli helped the priest of his tribe. He learned a great deal from his mentor, who was skilled in magic and could communicate with the gods.

Vicli memorized several rituals, then left his teacher and master, simply disappearing early one morning. The priest’s apprentice decided to create his own cult, one that would elevate him above the others.

And Here is the New God…

However, wanting this turned out to be much easier than actually achieving it. Vicli found an abandoned shrine deep in the jungle and summoned the first spirit he could find from the underworld, named Patzalcouatl.

The being, possessing magical power, was not averse to becoming a god. In exchange, Patzalcouatl promised to help Vicli in all his endeavors, so that he could achieve the heights he had always dreamed of.

A Helper in Everything

Every day, Vicli performed rituals that strengthened Patzalcouatl. The spirit grew more powerful, influencing Vicli’s life more and more. Soon, Vicli had a beautiful wife, and they built a house, around which other people began to settle.

Less than a year later, a new tribe mysteriously appeared. Vicli became the priest of Patzalcouatl, who provided full protection to the people.

The Mighty Protector

The weak spirit finally transformed into a deity capable of both punishing and pardoning, blessing or destroying. One day, it simply incinerated the wild beasts that dared to venture into the village!

That day, many people thanked Patzalcouatl. Vicli had made him almost the chief god, making all other deities seem insignificant by comparison.

Want Something Tastier

Patzalcouatl’s appetites grew along with his power. At first, he was satisfied with fruits and prayers. In the days when Patzalcouatl was still just an ordinary spirit, he once asked Vicli for blood. Of course, Vicli refused, and in a very categorical way. From that point on, Patzalcouatl never brought up his favorite treat again, fearing that the priest would stop worshipping him.

Now, the deity literally demanded blood! Patzalcouatl threatened to strip Vicli and the rest of the tribe of everything if he didn’t get what he wanted. And so, the priest fulfilled the request of his god.

A Bloodthirsty Deity

For a while, Patzalcouatl was content with animal blood. The tribe thrived, the shrine was filled with treasures, and the great god’s priest was revered, seen as the earthly representative of higher powers. Everything was wonderful, until Patzalcouatl demanded human sacrifices.

Of course, everyone refused to die for their god. And then, all kinds of calamities befell the tribe: diseases, wild animals, warring neighbors, and poor harvests…

Far from Evil

Vicli understood that someone would have to die for the greater good. He proposed that the tribe sacrifice people who had broken the law. The others, having listened to the priest, agreed, as their lives had turned into a nightmare with seemingly no escape.

Having received what he wanted, Patzalcouatl restored paradise to the tribe. But then, one fine day, the people scattered in all directions. Vicli also left, wanting to get as far away as possible. The priest didn’t even bother to take any of the gold, of which there was plenty in the shrine. Vicli only wanted one thing – to escape as quickly as possible from the monster he had created. The others were also not eager to live under the protection of a bloodthirsty monster.

Nonetheless, the shrine still stands in the same place. You can visit it right now and take the gold that was left for Patzalcouatl by his faithful followers.
