Nine bells, each containing a unique magic, are so beautiful that they can impress even a countess! And you can play with them right now…
The Diamond Lover
King Gustav XII simply adored jewelry! He opened a workshop at the palace, where the most skilled jewelers worked, hired to satisfy His Majesty’s passion. The king had an impressive collection of adornments: rings, bracelets, chains, cufflinks, pins, and other trinkets, all worth a fortune in gold coins.
The King Was Rejected…
One day, Gustav XII decided to get married. His chosen bride was Countess Anna Selintiyanskaya, who was beautiful, intelligent, slim, and extremely pleasant to be around. The king proposed to the young lady, all the while preparing for the wedding.
Unfortunately, the countess stopped him, asking for a little courting. The ruler was extremely surprised by this turn of events, but nonetheless, he could do nothing, as even a king has no right to force a lady to marry against her will.
The Tempting Vixen
However, Gustav XII intended to settle the matter as quickly as possible. He ordered the court jewelers to create precious gifts for the countess.
Any girl would have melted at such jewelry! But not Anna Selintiyanskaya…
The countess herself possessed an impressive collection of jewelry, one that could rival the royal collection. She accepted the gifts, but with all due respect to the king, she could not say she was sufficiently impressed.
All Efforts Were in Vain
The king was completely disheartened. Upon returning to the palace, he ordered the jewelers to outdo themselves and create an adornment that would convince the countess to become his queen.
The masters worked with all their might! Unfortunately, the necklace, brooch, and ring of fairy-tale beauty did not help Gustav XII win a wife. The countess politely, gently, and sweetly refused him, causing a storm of emotions that the king barely managed to contain.
Where Are the Best of the Best?!
At the same time, His Majesty ordered the search for craftsmen who could create truly impressive jewelry. Messengers raced throughout the kingdom.
The best masters arrived at the palace! The king thought that someone among them would surpass the court jewelers, but no such luck. The very best were already working tirelessly, crafting for His Majesty…
Dwarves from the Dungeons
And then one of the ministers suggested turning to the dwarves. The king gave his approval and sent messengers to the deepest mine, far to the north.
Gustav XII’s messengers descended and found a couple of dwarfs laboriously mining ore. The messengers explained what the king wanted, and the dwarfs promised to help in exchange for three carts of schnapps.
Magical Bells
Gustav XII sent several dozen barrels of strong liquor, brought from his personal cellar, to the dwarves. The dwarves appreciated the schnapps and crafted a set of nine magical bells for the king. Whenever any bell was rung, green goblins would appear from nowhere, clutching a chest filled with gold or precious stones, then vanish, darting off in different directions.
The king was thrilled to see how the magical bells worked! However, they could only be rung once a week. It was possible to ring them more often, but the goblins’ next visit would not happen until at least seven days later. Nonetheless, this did not stop the king from impressing Anna Selintiyanskaya so much that she agreed to become his wife.
And then an unknown craftsman turned the magical bells into a slot machine. By the way, it’s here with us now. Try it out, and may luck be on your side!
