A witch named Gella spent her days in an abandoned tower situated almost at the edge of the forest. The villagers living nearby avoided the witch’s dwelling, preferring to take a long route rather than risk encountering her, for who knows what might cross the mind of the mistress of that sinister place!

Gella had magical helpers—evil spirits that feasted on human flesh. The witch lured unsuspecting travelers passing by into her tower, enchanted them, and turned them over to her sinister companions. The helpers augmented Gella’s magical power, so she never missed an opportunity to indulge them with fresh human flesh.

It Seems Youth Has Faded…

Years passed, and the witch grew older. It became increasingly difficult to lure unsuspecting travelers into her lair, and by the age of thirty-five, it became a real problem!

The dissatisfied spirits grumbled, demanding food. They refused to grant Gella magical power until she fed them properly.

The witch decided to regain her lost youth and beauty. Unfortunately for her, not a single rejuvenating spell existed. There was only one thing left to do—turn to alchemy!

The Magic of Alchemy

The aging witch studied the basics of a science she had never dealt with as quickly as she could. It must be said, she was doing quite well, especially since she was being helped by the hungry evil spirits who were desperate to eat.

Soon Gella achieved her first results: the witch created a jar of ointment that could remove years from her face with just a little application. The effect delighted her!

The Witch Is Back in Action

The witch began feeding the spirits with the unfortunate ones she lured to her tower again. She went out to the street to flirt with men traveling on horseback or on foot.

Many were eager to spend time with the beauty! When the victims realized they had fallen into a trap, it was already too late—the friendly spirits transformed into terrifying creatures and began their bloody feast…

In Search of Eternal Youth

Gella continued her alchemical pursuits, hoping to create some remedy that would help her permanently rid herself of the years lived and become younger. Her ointment worked for no more than a couple of hours. When the magical effect wore off, the years she had lived “returned.”

Gella dreamed of remaining young forever. She spent all her free time in the lab, conducting research. With the help of magic, the witch managed to uncover the hidden properties of fruits and berries that helped restore youth. All that remained was to find a catalyst to enhance the magic enough to last forever, or at least for many years.

It’s All About Peppers

The witch tried everything: sulfur, bat liver, frog extract, sugar, salt, and finally, her gnarled fingers reached for three enormous peppers that she had bought at the market. Gella added some “spice” to the cauldron, and there was a loud pop!

She tasted the resulting soup, which, of course, was rejuvenating, and then glanced in the mirror—instead of her aging face, the witch saw a charming visage capable of enchanting any man! Youth did not fade even a week later.

Onward for the Magical Soup

The soup made from peppers and magical ingredients is worth millions in gold. While Gella is hanging around the market, you can sneak into her tower and take as much “potion” of youth as you wish, either to sell at a profit or to delight yourself. And don’t mind the spirits—they can’t harm you without the witch, so let them howl!
