Santa’s Gifts

Every year, Santa distributes thousands of presents. If you’ve been good and wrote a letter to Lapland, then you’re entitled to a gift too! Specifically, whatever you asked for in your letter.

Santa keeps the gifts in a warehouse. Some are made by the elves themselves, while others are bought with money allocated by the International Holiday Corporation. The night before Christmas, the gifts are loaded into the sleigh, and Santa sets off to fulfill his duties. This year, everything was supposed to go according to the usual script, but unfortunately, the irresponsibility of those little pointy-eared troublemakers turned everything upside down…

We’re burning, help!

When Santa went to visit the Yeti living nearby, the elves relaxed. One of them had the brilliant idea to steal a huge bottle of whiskey and cigars from Santa’s bar to throw a little party.

The revelers got quite drunk! But that was only half the trouble. Someone dropped an unextinguished cigar on the floor, and the warehouse caught fire. The elves collapsed into sleep and only woke up when the fire was raging full force.

By the grace of God, the drunken elves managed to put out the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and most of the gifts were saved.

Some things were burned…

When Santa returned, he was in shock from such a “surprise.” He gave the elves a proper scolding!

After receiving their due punishment, the culprits counted the gifts. It turned out that two hundred and forty-three gifts were missing, which had obviously just burned in the fire.

Deal with the Bearded Miners

Santa held his head in despair: the money allocated by the International Holiday Corporation was already spent, Christmas was just around the corner—what to do now?! If two hundred and forty-three people don’t get their gifts, staff changes will be inevitable, and as a result, someone might end up in the unemployment line. Maybe someone plump and bearded in a red suit!

Santa strictly forbade the elves from touching his booze and set off again to visit the Yeti, hoping to settle this matter without too much trouble. The Yeti lived in a spacious cave that led deep underground and ended somewhere near the dwarves’ lands. The hardworking dwarves, who mined ore all day long, owned deposits of precious gems. Santa hoped to trade a bit of his booze collection for sparkling sapphires, emeralds, diamonds, and other “jewels.”

Booze for Gems

The Yeti made a deal with the dwarves. The hardworking miners agreed to give up two hundred and forty-three fruit made of precious gems in exchange for several crates of good whiskey.

There was no choice—Santa had to dig deep into his pockets! He returned home, made the elves load the crates onto the sleigh, and headed back to his old friend.

Very Expensive Gifts

Once they got their whiskey, the dwarves handed over the true masterpieces of jewelry. Surely each fruit was worth a fortune!

Of course, it’s not exactly what people asked for in their letters, but it’ll do as a replacement and compensation. In the worst case, they can sell the gems and buy the dream that was burned in the fire caused by the group of drunken elves—may they all be cursed!

Reach Out for Wealth

While the Christmas fruits lie in the warehouse, waiting for their moment, you can boldly grab a couple. No one will notice!

And if a few oddballs end up without gifts, no one will be particularly upset. It’s unlikely they know how to contact the International Holiday Corporation, so they won’t be able to file a complaint. And even if they do know the address to send complaints to, Santa will be in trouble. But that’s his problem!
